Oh Lord,
Help us as Sea Scouts, to take to ourselves the spirit and courage and endurance handed on to us by seamen
of former days.
May their great traditions be ours, that our land may still be famed for her spirit of bravery and that we
may be known to be as upright and Godfearing as they.
Help us to take the best from them to put it into our daily lives.

Bless your sailors gathered here,
And bless those in Scouting, far and near.
Inspire us and steer us, so we may dare,
To lead, teach and serve those who you entrust to your care.
Grace us so that our courage,
Patience and seamanship increase,
To foster duty to God in Scouting,
And promote world peace.
Protect us all in traversing
The course you set before us,
In the family of Sea Scouting.

Bless the creatures of the sea,
Bless the person I call me,
Bless the seas, You made so grand,

By sun and moon their watches keep
On every sea of Thy vast deep.
Be with us Lord by night and day,
For Sea Scouts everywhere we pray.

Padre buono e onnipotente, noi scout nautici,
di fronte all'immensità dell'azzurro mare,
al calore del sole radioso,
alla potenza dell'onda infuriata,
leviamo i nostri cuori a Te,
Creatore e Signore di tutte le cose,
aiutaci affinché la nostra mente sia sempre limpida,
la nostra volontà forte ed il nostro corpo ubbidiente.
Nel pericolo soccorri, nella notte guida,
nello sforzo incita, nella debolezza perdona,
perché possiamo superare con serenità e gioia
gli ostacoli della nostra navigazione
e giungere un giorno fino a Te, nostro ultimo porto.
E Tu, Maria, Stella del Mare,
sii sempre sicuro riferimento
a cui guardare con fiducia in ogni istante
per orientare la nostra prua
e non sentirci soli nella nostra imbarcazione.
Con la sincerità degli uomini di mare,
Ti ringraziamo fin d'ora, o Padre Nostro
della Burrasca e del Sereno:
li affronteremo nel nome di Gesù,
che seppe vincere l'una e godere dell'altro.
Nel Suo nome sapremo servire la patria
ed essere fedele equipaggio della barca di Pietro
"il grande pescatore",
al quale hai affidato il timone dell'umanità.

Au nom du Père qui a séparé les eaux d'avec le ciel et la terre, Et du Fils qui foule et apaise la tempête,
Et de l'Esprit qui plane au-dessus des eaux,
Vierge Marie, Etoile des mers, Reine des flots,
Vous à qui les marins, même mécréants, ont toujours été dévots,
Voyez à vos pieds vos scouts marins qui voudraient se hausser jusqu'à Vous.
Obtenez-leur une âme pure comme brise de mer,
Un coeur fort comme les flots qui les portent,
Une volonté tendue comme voile sous le vent,
Une attention qui veille sans mollir comme gabier dans la hune,
Un corps bien armé pour les luttes contre les tempêtes de la vie.
Mais surtout ô Notre Dame, ne les laissez pas seuls à la barre,
faites leur éviter les écueils où ils s'échoueraient avant d'ancrer près de vous au port de l'Eternité.
