Skills: Parts of Boats and Rigging

Aim of the game:

Learn the parts of boats and rigging.

Rules of the game:

The leader shows one crew member a word on a card.
In turn, the crew members have to present the part of a boat or rigging shown on the card without speaking.
The other crew members have 1 minute to guess what it is.
If they are unsuccessful, the other crews have the chance to guess.
Correct answers score 5 points.
The crew with the most points wins.

Variation:

2 crew members can work together to make the same presentation.

10 - 17 years

Preparations: 5 Minutes
Setup: 2 Minutes
Game: 30 Minutes

Materials:

  • Cards with names of boats and rigging
  • Drawing of ship for the crew
  • Pens and paper
  • Egg timer or stopwatch
