Invitation à la conférence
Rapport final de la conférence
Eurosea is the Sea Scouting/Guiding Seminar that the European Region of Scouting and Guiding has been organizing since 1985. Since the first seminar held in Greece, there have been five others organized in various countries: 1988 (The Netherlands), 1992 (Sweden), 1994 (England), 1997 (Norway), and 2000 (Poland). At Eurosea 7, which took place in June 2000 in Poland, participants accepted Portugal's offer to organize the next European Sea Scout Seminar in 2003.
Because Eurosea 7 is being organized in Portugal, the seminar will reflect a certain way of seeing and living Sea Scouting that is in some respects different from how it is offered in other countries elsewhere in Europe. Putting into practice the special spirit of Sea Scouting, which has a wonderful and unique educational aspect, may require a different focus that is oriented on the program itself, most often with a project approach. Fewer financial or material resources don't necessarily mean lower quality Sea Scouting as an educational experience. Creativity is the needed ingredient.
Additionally, in a time where there has been considerable change in the European Region (Committee and Office), it is a good time to consider the best way to effectively support Sea Scouting, given that the member Scout associations are fully occupied with their own rights and duties.
